Pauli Murray Center for History and Social Justice
The Pauli Murray Center, a nationally significant historical site located in the West End neighborhood of Durham, bridges history and human rights by honoring Pauli Murray’s lifelong fight for peace and equity. Rev. Dr. Pauli Murray was a black activist, feminist, LGBTQIA+ advocate, lawyer, priest, and poet. At the heart of the Center rests Pauli Murray’s childhood home.
